Being A Dog Mom/ Milo Turns One

Well hello there, welcome to my first ever blog post. I’m sure you’ve guessed by the title what It’s going to be about! That’s right, Milo. My playful, inquisitive, one year old puppy. I’m not to sure why I thought about starting a blog besides having my youtube, I think its because I feel I can go into more depth about one subject, possibly? Or because I always have too much to say and I don’t want to edit out certain things of my life. Maybe it’s that I want to document in detail my life so I can look back on this one day and think, ‘god Emily, you we’re such a dick.’

As an introductory blog post I wanted this to be personal and something about me I guess. Which is why I chose to write about Milo. This almost seemed fitting too, because Milo is one years old tomorrow! He is also the most important thing in my life. Seems a tad dramatic to say something like that, but its honestly true. If you are a child-less, dog mad person – I feel like you would agree. He takes so much of my day up and my whole routine is based around him. He is so special to us (Josh and I) it’s very often we will just sit and watch him or laugh at the stupid things he does. For example last night he made one of his ears go down behind his head so he looked like he had one ear, and when we said ‘Where’s your ear gone’ he shot it back up help it for a few seconds and then flopped it back down. This repeated over and over and kept the 3 of us amused for a good 15 minutes. Sometimes its just the simple things he does that make me love him so much, the way he follows me like a shadow, the way he flaps his tongue around when waiting for you to through the ball to how he sneaks into bed with me every morning for a cuddle.

I make having Milo seems like such a walk in the park, It’s really not. Sometimes its so hard it brings me tears. Luckily I haven’t done this in a while! But there are times when I want to kill him! The times he poos on my new carpets, or is sick on my new rugs (admittedly he is was poorly both times) even the time he chewed all the tea coasters! Even though he has got a naughty streak he soon redeems himself and all is forget (except the time he chewed the back off my new pair of vans!) Generally Milo is a really good boy he’s obedient, loving and hilarious. He really does make my day worth living and its always nice to have his company and love when im feeling down and need it the most. Best part about it, Milo just lies then and hugs me without talking which means, no back chat, no sarcasm and complete honesty. If he’s in a grump he will let me know and I know exactly where I stand with him, not like most humans.

So yeah, I don’t really want to write to much about him because although I find him the most interesting thing in the world, im not sure you will. But basically, this post is just to say ‘Happy birthday Moo-Moo’ you special little dog.
