Autumn, you wonderful thing!

So Autumn, you’re back again, and this year you are also very welcome. I’ve felt this years summer has lasted forever. This may be due to the fact I’ve had 5 months off university and so many life changing events have happened to me in such a short period of time. I’ve had a lot of spare time on my hands giving me chance to do things I’ve never done before such as starting youtube and blogging. So yes, summer you have been a healthy and fun break but I’m ready for the colder months now. It’s now the time to hear those leaves crunching under my feet and the cold breeze hitting my face whilst still being kept warm from the shining, glowing sun. I can't wait to get back from work or uni and snuggle up in a blanket, put some scented candles on, watch a horror film and drink some hot chocolate. I’m also excited at the thought of dressing up my own house for Halloween and carving pumpkins.

Another one of my favourite things about this time of year is how you can adapt and change how you dress, transitioning summer wear to autumn wear. This is all done through layering, also big jumpers and boots. People start digging to the back of the wardrobe and pulling out those last year’s coats, jumpers and hats for some extra warmth when going about on their travels. I feel autumn isn’t something that is celebrated as much in this country because our country isn’t well known for glorious hot summers (although we have been quite lucky this year) but I feel people forget to appreciate how gorgeous this time of the year can be. For instance, the sunsets are simply breath taking! The type of 'stop-what-your-doing-and-watch-the-sky' sunsets. I've been know to pull over in the car to the side of the road, and watch the sun go down.. the warmth and beauty of Autumn just makes me feel so warm and happy inside.

I love you Autumn and I’m so glad you’re back.
E xx
